Elizabeth Douglas is a nonfiction writer and emerging playwright. Her plays include The Birthday Gift and Marnie and the Cuttlefish. Her work has been presented at Silver Spring Stage, Santa Cruz County Actors’ Theater, Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts and KMC Onstage, and has been developed at The Actors Studio of Newburyport and Monson Arts. She received the “Best Original Script” award at the 2019 Silver Spring Stage One-Act Festival, a playwriting award from the International Centre for Women Playwrights, and was an Ivoryton Playhouse Women Playwrights Initiative semifinalist. She is the author of The Habit (Doubleday) and a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. Elizabeth lives with her family in Hamilton, NY.
